by: PNMI read on another thread that there are 6 houses that are always going to be in the top 6...what are they?

KD Kappa ChiO PhiMu phiGam AXO in no particular order. Been here long time uninterrupted. Because a lot of members get in for who they know, they may not he the best on objective vie, but are considered "top" on general reputation and alum network and social cobtacts post grad.

I would definitely put tri delt over Kappa, they are first circle and old row.

Message to all PNMs: please do not get caught up in this "top house"/"old row" thing. It really is true that almost every house at UA is very high quality. Each is a little different and those with an open mind and open heart that trust the FR process will get a bid from the house that is a great fit for them. If you warp your thinking with the top/old-row mentality, you are only going to cheat yourself in the long run. A top may be best for you. A middle may be best for you. A low may be best for you. Even if you could get a bid to a "top" house. Be careful of what you ask for sometimes. It is what is best for you that matters. That is why the Actives that post on here encouraging PNMs to not read this page are actually doing you all a great service. Heed that advice. Have fun and chill out.

The original six were KD, ADPi, ZTA, Tri Delt, Alpha Gam, and Chi O. KD is not the only one with a historical marker in front of their house. DZ was also on campus before Alpha Chi, Kappa, and Phi Mu were.

Xo and KD are fine. Not their mama's versions but still good. Prob both losing luster enough to need to watch being passed. They need to be down several years more for it to really happen. New houses will help recovery. KD needs to rush better quality and less on connections to turn it around, but doubt that could ever really happen.
