alpha chi omega

Is Alpha Chi Omega a southern only sorority? or do they accept girls that aren't from the south?

I know a girl from Chicago and Maryland that are an AXO. Other than that I don't really know.

i'd say 70% are from the state of Alabama, another 25% from the South in general, and 5% from above the Mason Dixon line.

In 2014, Alpha Chi Omega pledged 120 women.
They were from:
Alabama – 62
California - 1
Florida - 4
Georgia - 10
Iowa - 1
Illinois - 2
Indiana - 1
Kansas - 2
Louisiana - 1
Maryland - 2
Missouri - 4
North Carolina - 2
Ohio – 2
Oklahoma – 1
Tennessee – 9
Texas – 15

Of the 120, 6 were upperclassmen.

Frankly, the most important thing is to have excellent grades.
Second, activities.
Every sorority would like to pledge a lot of Alabama women, and the reason is alumnae support.
OOS women tend to marry their boyfriends and go back to their home state. They're not around when the chapter needs advisors, and their daughters are less likely to come to Alabama.
Alabama members tend to marry and stay in-state. They might be close enough to serve as alumnae advisers to one of the 3 chapters in Alabama, and they're more likely to send their daughters to Alabama chapters.
