legacy

How much does "legacy" count during rush? I've noticed a lot of girls who are legacies for houses and I'm worried there's so many legacies that I won't be able to get into a house

There are so many legacies for certain chapters that an entire pledge class could be made up of legacies. That being said, since there are so many legacies, legacy doesn't mean as much as it might at other smaller schools. Yes, legacies are given preferential treatment (which is different at each house), but that does not mean that they will receive a bid.
