preview day

Some of my friends in sororities at UA (variety from top tier to middle tier houses) said not to attend preview weekend and some said it can help to. Advice?

Uh, I don't understand the logic behind someone telling you not to go.
1. It can put you on our radar
There were girls that my house didn't even know existed because no in-house girls knew them, and we met them during preview and were able to look at them throughout rush. The one girl I met, I really campaigned for and she ended up in our house.
2. It gives you an idea of what to expect
You'll be prepared for the flow of conversation. You'll be prepared for how the procedures work as for going into and exiting the house. You'll also be prepared for how a typical day will go in general.
