What does it mean when people say certain sororities "cross rush" what exactly is that?

Cross rushing is certain sororities that look for the same thing in their "top girls." Each sorority has it's own list of their "top girls" which are different for all of them. Cross rushing are the sororities that have mostly the same girls as their top girls. For example, sororities that typically rush very intelligent and well rounded girls from certain areas will be cross rushing with each other.
