Do sororities have to take a certain number of upperclassman for the Upperclassman quota, or is it there choice to not take any upperclassmen.

There is an upperclassman quota every year which is beneficial for upperclassmen at Alabama because not every school has it. However, it is not required to use the upperclassmen quota and even if you do, you don't have to take the whole amount of upperclassmen to meet that quota. It's kind of just like a bonus that you can either use or not.

Some actually take more upperclassmen than their quota, but just a few more.
If you're an upperclassman, your grades had better be very good, and your activities stellar.

Only about 7% of last year's girls who pledged were upperclassmen.
