Do you mean 1 per sorority, or only 1 recommendation period? You're not doing yourself any favors. What if that 1 person doing your rec forgets? Or puts it off so long that it goes in too late? Sororities grade and rank the recs. Your rec needs to get to them in time for them to do all that.

The recs graded on? If you don't know the people writing them is that bad ?

It's different for each sorority and specifically, you will never know. But parts of it will be gpa and involvement.

The person writing the rec should know you or your family, or know somebody who knows you. We CAN tell if a stranger writes your rec.

Recs only matter the first round? Like after the first round is it more about the individual girl?

That's private and different for every sorority, but most of the time, you will be cut after the first round if you don't have a rec and nothing else to make you stand out. It's the easiest cut besides grades.
