What is the difference between swaps and date parties? The girls touched on this on preview day but could someone please explain again?

swaps are a fraternity and sorority get paired up for a themed party.
date parties you have to be invited by a date or find a date if its your own date party.

Like the poster above said, a swap is a themed party for a specific fraternity and sorority; usually, other people outside of these two orgs are not allowed to attend. A date party is a party for a specific sorority/fraternity where the members invite dates that can be in any group.
