by: RushI'll be a freshman at UA in the fall. I'm from out of state and don't know a single person. I have a 4.3 GPA, played football and baseball and am well liked. What do I need to do to rush? Should I contact fraternity presidents to start conversation? I just don't want to miss the opportunity to be in a good house. Any thoughts?

Not that you're bragging or anything.
Listen, rush is already happening for fraternities. The key is to be invited to summer parties...and attending. Most bids are given out during the summer.
E-mail the houses and tell them your interested, give them your name and e-mail. If you're going to be in Tuscaloosa, ask if you can go by to meet some guys.
