out of state

by: Bama bound

How does rush go for someone who is out of state? I have good grades, good involvement, and legacy at two houses (although not at alabama). Thanks!

It can go really well. Sixth percent of pledged women this year were out of state. Just be sure to get your recommendations in.

If you're from the South, it's pretty easy. It's a lot harder being from the North, or at least it was in my case, because the culture and everything was very different from where I grew up. I feel like if I had been as familiar and adjusted to the culture as I am now, rush would have been super easy. Plus there ARE some top tier houses that look specifically for Southern girls, but if they really like you, where you're from should not be a hindrance at all.
