cob advice

I am REALLY interested in being in a sorority all my friends are. I was just wondering what I could do to to really make my COB experience successful. I signed up right when it opened. I had my friends refer me. I know grades,recs, etc. But what are somethings I can do to really stand out, after an unsuccessful formal recruitment?
