sorority representation

Hi all!

This post is mainly for the girls who are looking to go through Recruitment this fall and are looking to this website for help.

This website can be a great tool for if you have questions that's want to be answered, I urge you to post if you have questions and want answers quick! However, tread with caution. Since this is an anonymous board, many people may say things that are untrue and hurtful to others. I know that's cliche, but please take everything you read with a grain of salt. Not everything posted about each chapter is true - some may be from their own members, trying to boost their status and others may be from girls in other houses who are being catty. Please don't make any decisions about the chapters until YOU meet them. I guarantee you that each stereotype does not fit each house to a T and that each house is full of diverse, intelligent, and passionate women. There will definitely be a house for you so please don't let this page allow you to make assumptions on houses that may be untrue.

SO true. I especially like that you mentioned that sometimes girls talk up their own houses on this website, not just put down others!

Really, PNMs, don't listen to this site when it comes to sorority reputations. If you see ANYTHING about ANY sorority's rep, disregard it. Chances are that the review was written by someone who's biased, and even if it wasn't, sorority reps really do not matter in the Greek community like most new members assume they do. I remember when I was rushing, I thought I had to join a "top tier" house in order to have a social life, and that just isn't true! EVERY greek party I've gone to always has a ton of girls from all of the houses, and frats actively try to get to know ALL of the houses well because the more houses they are tight with = the more girls show up to their parties = the better parties they throw = the better their OWN reputation is. You really can't go wrong with which house you pick, so please please please pick your sisters based on where YOU feel most comfortable! Nobody wants you to join the wrong house, feel disconnected, and then drop... :( I can't describe how much I love my sisters, it would be such a shame if someone didn't have the same experience because they picked a house based on where they thought they "should" go.
