do frats like out of state kids more or less?

I'm from NYC and im interested in joining a frat. Is it a disadvantage to be from out of state or does it help for diversity?

Literally no one cares where tf you’re from, just pay dues and give them your money. Greek Life compared to any other school is a joke here.
