how much do letter of recs help?!!

hey, i will be rushing this fall and i will have a letter of rec to 2 different sorities, how muc will this help? What difference will they make etc? (if this helps one sorority is considered top and the other sorority is considered middle/top) any information will be helpfu, thanks. :-)

Rec letters aren't that big of a deal here, barely looked at. Recruitment isn't like it is in the South, won't make a difference.

They basically do nothing here. My chapter doesn't even make note of them or mention them to actives who are recruiting. They don't give you a leg up regardless of if they're for a top house or not.
