recruitment help

Will sororities give you a second look if you are a sophomore going through formal recruitment for the second time after accepting a bid but deciding not pledge due to wanting to focus on school first/not feeling like it was the right fit and being automatically dropped during fall recruitment due to high school gpa not meeting their requirement?

Which is it? Did you get a bid last time and not accept, or did you get dropped from all houses for your high school GPA? Two totally different scenarios...

I accepted a bid to give it a try but dropped before initiation. I was dropped by a few houses first round where I didn't meet their gpa requirement. It's a bit of both.

College grades matter now. Be prepared for fewer invitation choices, as some houses cannot invite you to 2017 parties because they dropped you from their 2016 parties. It may turn out the house that you were bid to and dropped from cannot invite you, too. Please be open to accepting invitations and a bid card from any offering home, as you may be the good woman they're looking for to turn their chapter into something special.

TBH, the house where you dropped is most likely not going to invite you back.

If you dropped out from your sorority AND college, and will not have a college gpa, then your high school gpa WILL be taken into account.

are you saying you got dropped from the sororities you liked because of your gpa so you accepted a bid to a house you didnt like and then dropped? honestly rushing as a sophomore puts you at a slight disadvantage but if your gpa is better in college and you fit into a house they'll give you a chance!

these people clearly have no idea what the heck they're talking about. there is no disadvantage to rushing as a sophomore. the house you dropped will probably not invite you back, but let's be real, you dropped them so it's not like you would want to go back. as long as your college GPA is good and you hold conversations and get to know the chapters, youlll be fine.
