rush, join, drop, rush again.

Do sororities care if you've previously rushed a different sorority, dropped before initiating, then decide to rush again?

It matters whether you went thru Formal Recruitment or COB. Which did you join through?

By: formal or COB?

Formal! My gpa wasn't high enough for certain houses.

Any house that dropped you during Fall Formal Recruitment may have the policy to always drop you from now on. It is called once dropped, always dropped. No second chances. But if you subscribed to the COB experience there are obvi more than a few homes available to your joining. And it doesn't hurt to check with greek life office to register ASAP and check whether you're allowed to join again this Fall or have to wait until later.

What if you were automatically dropped because you didn't meet the high school gpa requirement? Will they reconsider?

I do not see how it is that you know for a fact those homes that dropped you did so solely based on your grades, but the dream continues...

For your re-recruitment in Fall 2017 a solid COLLEGIATE gpa is required.

Also for you to consider: these women will already be aware of your previous recruitment attitude. Were you a complainer? A whiner? Rude to your hostesses? Did you badmouth your previous greek home around campus after dropping them? Or were you kicked out by them?

By all means if you have the time, interest and financial ability to re-recruit contact the greek life office ASAP. Don't forget to let greek members within your family, friends, and acquaintances know you are making another go of greek life so they can send in updated rec forms.

Recruitment policies of each home vary and are considered private sorority matters for the initiated membership alone, thus they will not be discussed here.
