University of Pittsburgh - UPITT 2.3 Greek life doesn’t even matter at Pitt. It is such a small percentage of the entire population. It’s not very fun unless ur in a top organization (which barely means anything cause greek life here is so irrelevant) and even so ur just seeing the same people over and over. I would suggest joining a better and more meaningful club or sport or something. Don’t waste your money like I did.

University of Pittsburgh - UPITT 3.5 Greek life makes this large university feel a lot smaller. If you’re looking for a place to make friends and have a good time joining greek life is the move. However the university is very strict with greek organizations and it is very easy for them to get out on suspension.

University of Pittsburgh - UPITT 3.5 I love Greek life because it helped me find my people in what could otherwise be a big, impersonal school. Greek life is big for those of us who are a part of it but those who aren’t don’t pay much attention- which is fine of course! The one thing I really wish was better at Pitt was the Greek housing. The frat houses on the Hill are basically dormitories while the sororities generally live in a big apartment (although they are for the most part beautifully decorated). I attend medical school at an SEC school with a beautiful Greek row. Not gonna lie, but when I visited that my sorority’s chapter house, I had a little bit of house envy! I loved my time as. Pitt Greek but if you particularly really want that big Greek experience, another school light be a better fit.
