Thing of it this way. Last year, 2,200 women went through sorority recruitment at U of Alabama. You may think you are the only homecoming queen/cheerleader. 4.4 valedictorian who is a state science fair winner - guess what? There are 125 other women just like you going through. Yes it's competitive. Indiana and Ole Miss are the only ones more competitive - Indiana because each sorority can only replace the girls who left, and Ole Miss only because there are only about 10 sororities and almost as many rushees as Alabama has.
