SO true. I especially like that you mentioned that sometimes girls talk up their own houses on this website, not just put down others! Really, PNMs, don't listen to this site when it comes to sorority reputations. If you see ANYTHING about ANY sorority's rep, disregard it. Chances are that the review was written by someone who's biased, and even if it wasn't, sorority reps really do not matter in the Greek community like most new members assume they do. I remember when I was rushing, I thought I had to join a "top tier" house in order to have a social life, and that just isn't true! EVERY greek party I've gone to always has a ton of girls from all of the houses, and frats actively try to get to know ALL of the houses well because the more houses they are tight with = the more girls show up to their parties = the better parties they throw = the better their OWN reputation is. You really can't go wrong with which house you pick, so please please please pick your sisters based on where YOU feel most comfortable! Nobody wants you to join the wrong house, feel disconnected, and then drop... :( I can't describe how much I love my sisters, it would be such a shame if someone didn't have the same experience because they picked a house based on where they thought they "should" go.
